I love their sporting brothers & sister and really have fun during the day with them. This is the greatest wedding I ever attend & contributed a lot of “First Time” on it.

The 1st time I… visit Port Dickson, stay at Water Homes with private swimming pool in the room, shoot video in Wedding Actual Day, do the same day edit, see my short clip present on the big projector screen. Btw friends, I love to hear all your praises. I just don’t know how to response on the spot as I’m not really used to it but I would like to say Thank You from my heart.

I want to do a Penang Heritage Wedding Photography since long time ago. I'm glad that Ann invite me to help her to capture some sweet moment after her wedding reception. I did not ask her what she like, I did not ask her what her gown and I did not ask what are the colors nor theme. I also did not expect she will wear something other than big white gown. Then she really surprised me with her awesome choice. I love her gown, of course the best thing is she wear it. Of course, my favorite personal model getting married... :p

Ann & River was too tired after the wedding reception but we still manage to have some fun... Just make it real quick. I hope they love the session, love the pictures and enjoy the moment. Last but not least... Apologize for the long waiting time & Thanks for giving me the chance :)

I was invited by Khai Ming to join a photo shoot session with Hasneeda and the only thing I know is she will wear a white gown during this session. Hasneeda was sick when we met in the early morning but she still try her best to pose for us with her beautiful make up & smile :)

The Foo Chow Restaurant wall was painted with few big words mentioned Jackie Chan was captured in this area. I personally don't like this Foo Chow Restaurant at all, that is because of the boss. That lady did not respect the customer for first come first serve and prefer to serve larger amount of customer. They serve the bigger order rather than my 1 bowl of noodle order.

Amelia is my lovely model this time... She is soooooo CUTE & ADORABLE... !!!~~~ I love her expression when wear my tutu and the way she hold my White Daisy... Amelia was so excited and every of her steps are fast... Therefore, I have to act fast as well :) . Ya.. That is because the natural happy expression cannot be re-do. You have to be fast on every shutter to capture the great moment.

Very glad to get a chance to involve with Indian Traditional Engagement. Guru is my team mate and 4 of our photography gang was invited to capture their sweetest engagement moment. 2 of the girl photographers busy to capture the preparation and another 2 guy photographers are busy to capture the traditional ceremony.

I was impressed by the grand makeup. The bride to-be is like a queen of the day and she looks so happy with her husband to-be.

British Teach You Speak Penang Hokkien

I received some email talking about an interesting dictionary explaining Penang Hokkien "Bad Words" and those information are very detail. This has brought to our attention and we were so interest about it. So... We started Google-ing again...

And I found that there is really a dictionary published since last year 2009. The author of this book is from England and worked here since 5 years ago. You can get more information about his interview by The Star Newspaper.

We found the distributor for this dictionary and we are so excited to get 1 copy. Why I want to get one? Have you ever see any dictionary for dialect? At least I has not. And especially this one is for my local dialect. It is so cute. How amazing !!!~~~

Who is the distributor? That is Areca Books. This English - Penang Hokkien Pocket Dictionary is selling at any bookstore as RM22.

Don't be so excited about this book. This is not the one you can see from forward email but it is an useful Penang Hokkien dictionary for those want to learn Hokkien and some of the words written in this book was not realized by Local Penang folks as well. This book has 209 pages. 11-166 are word-list. Example at below:

Disappointed? These are the only "Unpleasantries" in this book. It did not have the version you saw in the forward email. I think it got removed as this book will sell it to public.

Traditional Butter Cookies

Butter cookies is my all the while favorite. I promise myself to bake that when I have an oven. However, my 1st bake was contributed to Horlicks butter cookies rather than this one. But Finally... I make it this time...

This is my 1st time to bake butter cookies and it turns out not bad. Love it.

Where do I get the recipe? I forgot where I get from because my practice is to google few recipes then compare & mix it. After that... I wrote the ingredient in post it pad (without steps) then post it on my kitchen's cabinet.

It is pretty simple...

Ingredients:

250g butter
100g icing sugar
300g flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

How to make it?

Just throw all the things in the bowl and beat it with low speed... LOL
Place a baking paper/plain paper on the baking pan.
Take a teaspoon of the mixture, roll it into ball and pat that flat then put on the baking pan.
Repeat the same steps until the pan is full. Remember to keep some distant for the cookies to grow.
Pre-heat the oven in 180 C. Then put the baking pan into it and bake for 15 minutes (***See the note at below for additional instruction).
Cookies are still soft when hot (cookies will turn darker while the heat still there). Leave it for few minutes until it turn warm . Remove it from the pan and keep in air tight container.

My Personal Notes:

Leave the butter melt in room temperature before you beat it and use a tissue paper to cover the bowl while you beat it.
It is better not let the cookies thicker than 5mm. It will grow thicker after bake. This is to make sure the whole piece of butter cookies are crunchy.
Turn your baking pan from inside to outside every 4 minutes. If you see your cookies turn a little bit yellow at around 9-12 minutes, please remove it now. Do not wait until the color turns dark (Due to some living area power are stronger). If you really wait until it turn a little bit brown only remove it, then the result will be dark. Remember the heat on the pan and cookies itself may bring it continue burning.
Health advice: Do not taste it when it is still hot/warm. Do not eat too much... Butter is not good for your health. :p

The 1st meal I had in Cambodia. It is an USD6 fried rice. Expensive? Yes, it is. But... This is the best fried rice I ever had in my life...

We was suggested to enjoy the Classic Khmer/Cambodian Dance show during the buffet dinner...

Sunrise experience at Angkor Wat. Great one...

I get impressed by their big temple. A very good place for photo shooting... Especially Portrait Shooting... Hope will have people hire me to help them shoot their Pre-Wedding or Honey moon pictures later... Then I will visit again... LOL

Queensbay Mall Oriental Bridal Show 2010

Most of the time when I know a fashion show, it is either over or maybe too close to the date. This time I received an invitation earlier and enjoying the 1st show shooting. Good to see my favorite models over there :)

I arrived Queensbay Mall earlier and I suppose able to get the place at in front of the stage. However, I choose to stay at upstairs. Hm... Not sure if my choice is right as did not see any other photographer right up there... But at least one thing I know after this show is ... The model never look at upstairs during the show... LOL

Peranakan Mansion/Museum aka Little Nyonya at Penang

Hebe told me she like this place since long time ago. This is an interesting place that a lot of people like to take their wedding portrait over there. You may also hold your wedding dinner at this place with some charges (This can fit in 100-300 guest, for me... the Ideal plan is 200 people).

We were there before 2010 Chinese New Year... Just for the New Year attempt. This is really a happening place. When I 1st arrived, I already saw 1 couple with wedding gown & their photographer... Then follow by a beautiful model with Cheong Sam and a gang of photographers... After a while... another 2 couples with their wedding gown & photographers again... All wedding photos at the same place. LOL....

We are not bad too... We have 5 photographers and we requested Hebe to bring her Cheong Sam for this outing... :)

Penang Hard Rock Hotel

Elmen & Kim was talking about Hard Rock Hotel's Live Band Performer during the Engagement portrait shoot. Elmen told me that he love one of the live band performer - "Ray" so much. He love to go there to enjoy the music. I told them I never been there and so we (both photographer) got invited to enjoy with the environment & the great music. Elmen purposely called the performer to confirm he will be there on 30th Jan 2010.

We heading out at around 6pm... Since a lot of them still celebrating the Thaipusam... We was stuck at traffic jam before reaching Hard Rock Hotel... After the Sunset view... We changed the location to Park Royal Hotel for dinner.... Then turned back to Hard Rock Hotel for the live band performance.

Elmen was right... Ray does have a great voice which make everyone of us feel comfortable. I will go there again. :)

Feel It 2010 at Penang Prai Abandon Railway Station

We decided to organize another portrait session with Sophia and the theme for this round is "Sexy".

When the 1st portrait session with Sophia, I told myself I want to show something different and I did. I run out of idea for this time as I never shoot "Sexy" before and I wonder how "Sexy" this girl will be as she is not even reach 20. Hm...

We met her still in an early morning but this time we went for breakfast before we start our session. Sophia bring her lovely sister together with her to help us while shooting session. So sweet... :)

We decided to go to an abandon railway station at Perai, Penang. That is a great place for portrait shooting with excellent natural light.

This is the 1st time I'm doing indoor with natural light portrait shooting. We invited the Sifu Derick and I did learnt a lot of thing from him including flash light. Thanks Sifu Derick.

More shoot more excited as the model really pretty and coorparate with us for every single request. We finished the 1st day session at one of the abandon train station then we continue our 2nd session at a home studio.

After the session... KM & Jason set the theme as "I'm not a girl, not yet a women". Again... I want something different and the changes... I don't want to say that much... So... Just "Feel It"

This time is the turn to take pictures for my brother and sister-in-law (tobe). My brother want to propose on a special day and he decided to make it on 12AM 25th Dec 2009. We went to Penang Kek Lok Si to take some of the engagement pictures and it was too crowd... Unbelievable...

We were tired with the hot sun and "peoples"... but we do get some good pictures... Thank God...

I was invited to attend Khye & ZiYu Wedding celebration. I'm not sure weather if they hire any photographer but I got my camera with me when I suppose to be ZiYu's "Sister" on that day.

I know this is too much when I already dressed up with a long skirt, make up and ready to be a "sister". I'm not suppose to bring my camera together with me because I can't help to stop taking pictures when the camera just with me. But... no regret...

We was struggling to think where could we go for outing again before Neil going back to China. Ann suggested that we could visit St. Anne's Church located at Bukit Mertajam, Penang Malaysia.

I was surprised and realized why it was so famous. It is beautiful and I know this must be a good place for pre-wedding pictures... LOL...

Sophia... A girl that I know when attend M2 at Autocity. She was nice and promised for a photo shooting session with us.

We met at Queensbay and start the session at Jerejak Jetty and later we moved to Snake Temple at Penang. I think there were too many photographer and she looks uncomfortable when we just start... After some try... We start getting better and better... :)

We asked Sophia to wear young and did a really good job with her selected cloth. She keep telling me that she felt like an aunty wearing young cloth. Oh please... She not even 20. "Sophia, you are young"

M2 @ Autocity Penang Nov 2009

I'm addicted to this event after my 1st time SuperGT photoshot experience on June 2009 at Juru AutoCity. Finally M2 (Mean Machine) is here at Autocity Penang...

We are currently in raining season and I heard it was a raining day when yesterday M2 Semi-Final. The sky looks dark when we having our lunch and KM told me Autocity is heavy rain and we might need to delay for our plan. We reach Autocity at around 3.40pm and the sky was bright at one side and dark at another side. Worry... Worry... Worry...

I was looking for the model I took pictures with when June visit but I could not get it. I keep searching for other models but start feel boring with it as I did not see hot & sexy model in front of the cars... hehehhehe... After few rounds... We found a cute girl standing at CIMB booth. Very young and sweet...

I was about to go home when I heard there is last photo session with M2 girls but suddenly KM told me the girl I'm looking for is there now... Hooray... At least I got something today... LOL...

Fall in Love with Melacca

My 1st drive travel began on 22nd Sep 2009... Me and Irisa depart from Penang at 6.50am and the 1st destination is Fu Shan dim sum restaurant at Ipoh. This restaurant moved to a new location since 3 months ago. It is now in a good environment... With air-con & fans... However... One thing remain the same ... It is still have A LOT OF CUSTOMER...

After the long drive... Finally we reached Melaka a.k.a Melacca at around 2.30pm and checked in to "The Baba House" (The hotel we booked) and met with Pei Pin & her husband... We did not focus much on other places but only travel around in the town... Including Christ Church, Red House, A' Famosa & etc.

A great experience during this trip. It answered my questions to Melacca, Ipoh, Ikea at KL & using GPS in Malaysia.... :) That should call eating trip as well. We have Dim Sum as breakfast at Fu Shan restauran in Ipoh, High Tea at Baba &... Nyonya street and Chicken Rice Ball at center of Melacca at the 1st day. We have portugese set lunch, Nippon set dinner & Durian Pancake at the next day. The last day... we have western breakfast at IKEA and Chicken with bean sprouts at Ipoh.

In The Mood at Teluk Bayu, Penang

Raining Season was not too bad for us... at least on 30th August 2009. The sky was dark when we taking our breakfast before heading to the destination. I told Neil that the Sun will follow me wherever I go. Yup... We are so lucky to have this session and enjoyed the fun with our Model - Hebe without disturb.

We went to my favorite portrait shooting location - Teluk Bayu 尾湖 (Beside Teluk Kumbar). I love this place is because we can switch to different background and feel without travel to different places. Good huh... ???!!!

Hebe is a cute girl with a trademark smile. However, Neil & BH said they want a diff try. So... They tried to "transform" her into another "mode" with some "mood". :)

My calendar was booked since long time ago for this baby outing... Maybe I should say this is family portrait rather than a baby portrait.

We agreed to meet on 15th August 2009 8am and depart to the destination but we were late due to heavy dinner at the day before. My mum know I will come back together with a friend... She cooked a lot of nice foods & waiting for us... Happy Happy... :) (E.g. Tom Yam Shrimp, Balacan fried Kangkung, Steam Fish, Onion Fried Egg & Mushroom Steam Egg)

A blur blur journey then reach Kuala Sanglang... Baby was just woke up and waiting for us... Hehehehehe... After shower and finshed his porridge... We went to the only garden in Kangar for family portrait...

I have fun with this family especially the way how they tried to make the baby smile. Thanks for your invite. :)

A late notification and we are too rush to plan for our FY10Q2 Team Building because we have too many people will be out of station soon. Maggie & Erika absent to this plan but we have Ean Ean to join us in Penang.

We decided to test the new place at Heaven Delight which suggested by Susan. This new restaurant is located at Penang Times Square. All the foods and concept are similar like TAO. We like the foods a lot and enjoyed with the games prepared by Elmen.

Erm... If you are looking for foods pictures... hm... I'm sorry... No foods... As I'm busy eating... Can't wait for any longer... :p

However... I'm again applied the benefits to have a DSLR... Which is... PORTRAIT EVERYWHERE and EVERYTIME... :)

Furkids Talk at Teluk Bayu, Penang

Irisa and Vivien invited me to take pictures with their lovely boy and girl. On 27th June 2009... I went to pick up Vivien & Irisa together with Snowgirl & Yippi.

Here we start our journey... By eating "Bak Kua Roti"... Irisa brought a lot of Corn & Sweet Potato (That she bought from Cameron Highlands).

AutoCity SuperGT 2009 at Penang

I remember I "scold" Khai Ming & Jason last year when I saw they went for SuperGT Photo shooting at AutoCity but did not invite me. This year... Tjun Aun told me they plan to go for photo shooting again as Miss AutoCity Competition and SuperGT show is again organized at AutoCity.

On Saturday, I went to Jason house at 4pm but... awwww... We only get depart at 5.20pm as waiting for Jason to come back. "Scold" Khai Ming again as he did not inform me. After spending traffic jam time at Penang Bridge, finally we are there at AutoCity. I did not see any much stuff other than some modified car. I saw a banner said that there will have Japanese SuperGT girl on 14th June 2009 6pm and was so sad as I thought we came at the wrong time. Jason & Khai Ming brought me went into further... Wow... I can see a lot of stuff now and start for non-stop photo shooting.

At around 7pm, suddenly... 2 Japanese SuperGT Models arrived and performing on the stage. Oh... Wow... Erm... Hahahaha... Not sure why the banner said is only 14th June 2009 and now I see them. I saw the poster and know it suppose to have 4 Japanese SuperGT Models but Jason said 2 of the Models went back to Japan when they have food poisoning at the next day when reach Malaysia. :S

This is the 1st time I joined this kind of events which can see a lot of expert photographer with their high end cameras & lens. I feel so tiny when I saw the Full Frame Camera & White Lens... and I can tell 95% of the photographers attended this event are male. So pai se la... A lot of people looking at me especially when I lie down on the floor just to take a picture. hahaha... Who care... I just want to take pictures... We stayed there until 11pm and there are still a lot of people... Traffic still jam... LOL...

Tuff Club National Horse Show 2009 at Penang

I saw a billboard there mentioned that National Horse Show 2009 at Penang Turf Club (槟城跑马场) going to be happen soon... I was so excited to see this happen. 3 days event start from 5th June 2009 until 7th June 2009.

We reach Penang Turf Club at around 8.30am morning. Not much people there and we start photo shooting even the session we waiting for did not start yet. There are few stuff we captured... Eg. Mustang Riding RM3 per round... Ponny & Donkey close Shoot & etc. We went to the field and saw a long queue for Ponny Riding RM2. We can't make it as don't want to wait for that long queue under the hot sun. heheheh... :)

After 3.5 hours... Finally Mindy, Naomi & Tjun Aun are here. I think Naomi not feeling well under this kind of weather but we still taking the chance to take pictures with this super model (trained by Tjun Aun) :p

Everyday Sunny Day at Penang

I'm actually not sure what is her real name... Not because of we does not know each other, but is because I call her Hebe since I know her at 3++ years ago. She should be same as the title... When you see her smile... You will know Everyday is Sunny Day... :)

It was raining on 9th May, but we does not cancel this session. We was trying hard to think where we can pick to not affected by rain. I asked Hebe drive to Penang Church Street Pier and see where possible we can start for it and just lucky that raining was stopped when we reach. Yeah... Everyday Sunny Day work right here...

Hebe asked her colleague (Cadence) join us for this photo session... Erm... 1st time I'm doing Portrait Shooting with 2 models (Except Family Portrait) and found that quite hard to handle it. It is a good experience to start with... hehhehehe... The weather was getting hotter and hotter... We moved to Penang Fort Cornwallis after few shots...

Hong Kong Traveler : Disneyland

I was so lucky everyday at Hong Kong. Why? Remember I said earlier that weather forecast told me there will have a week of Isolated T-Storm during my trip. Everynight when my uncle asked me where I wish to visit at the next day, I will told him "depends on the weather, if is good then I will visit....".

I woke up everyday with a smile and I believe everyday is a Sunny Day. It really is... :)

The destination for 3rd day... Hong Kong Disneyland. I'm so excited for everything I met and saw in Hong Kong Disneyland. It is small but I still cannot finish trying all stuff in there. However, I did enjoy the most important part already. :)

I went breakfast with my uncle and aunty then shopping at around Central before heading to Ocean Park. I also get the chance to try the old style public transport at Hong Kong. :)

Nice food, nice weather... Everything nice... :) Erm... if have more money for me to spent then even better. :p

This time, let me share with you my experience at Hong Kong. I was worry about the trip will fill with raining days. Yes, It is. But Hong Kong love me so much. Whenever I reach a place... Is either finished or It will only start raining when I leave. My uncle asked me to keep a small umbrella at my backpack, but... I never get a chance to use it. Wakakkaaka... Yohooo... Hong Kong love me so muchie...

My uncle stay at Wong Tai Sin and I'm here to share with you my 1st day activity at Wong Tai Sin area.

My New Handmade Photo Album

Yeah... I had completed another 2 new handmade photo albums... The white (recycle paper) is for Li Bing and the black (Jewelrybox cloth) is for Kang.

Where I get those material? The 2 book mark and the paper inside are from Popular Bookstore, the recycle paper is from S&J, the Jewelry box cloth is from a shop that sell sewing stuff at Alor Setar & etc... :)

How I made these up? You need to have glu (water base), glu gun & your "heart" ready... :)

Another Portrait shooting I had completed. Again... I invited my colleague in Dell. Hahahahaha... However, this time... The model is from Dell Dalian.

Li Bing visit Malaysia for business trip. Of course I won't miss any chance to get a portrait shooting with him. You always can see I mentioned "An early morning.." at my blog. But... This time we have the portrait shooting at Hot Afternoon.

As that time is hot afternoon, I brought him to Teluk Bayu 尾湖 (Beside Teluk Kumbar), Penang since the trees, beach and lake should be OK during this Sunny Day. Such a wonderful combination place has been surprised Li Bing... Hahahaha.... Hard to see a small place which you can feel the Jungle, Lake and Beach at the same time. :)

We start our session of photo shooting after Li Bing enjoy with his foot theraphy at the beach. The ants excited to see what we are doing and want to have fun with us... They welcome us by giving some bites... :p

As you know I like my new laptop so much... This time I asked Li Bing to help as the model of DELL Laptop... Showing how I had the laptop as my theme - "Dell Everywhere". Hahahaha... Yes... I'm trying to promote DELL. No choice what... I work for DELL.

I tried to work on the photo editing as fast as possible since Li Bing will go back to Dalian at coming weekend. I hope he enjoy with the session and like those pictures I had taken.

Yohoo... My souvenior from Dalian was delivered right on my hand. :)

I told Liu Zhe that I want something with magnet from Dalian which can represent this state as I missed out the chance to get it while I visit there. Haha... He told me he will help me settle it... wakakakaka... Nice... His wife Ming Ming bought me these... :)

In this pack, it is not only have something with magnet but it also have key chain and handphone decoration stuff... I love all of them... hehheheh... These should be enough to fill up my fridge door.

Thank You Ming Ming & Liu Zhe... But also want to say Thank You to Li Bing as he help to ship this from Dalian all along the way to Penang. :)

My Fruits and Vege Life Try

After addicted to the Momotaro - Japanese Pink Flesh Tomato from Genting Garden, I decided to taste all those "Fresh for Eat" tomato to look for all great one.

Last 2 days, I again went to QB Jusco. I bought 2 boxes of Genting Garden Momotaro and this time... I bought one more. I'm giving a try to Grace Cup Tomato. It is a little bit cheaper 4 for RM3.50. hm... This one not bad. Consider very good compare with the Genting Garden M and XL size Tomato (Refer to previous blog.) as it is very soft and juicy as well. After the try... I still prefer Genting Garden Momotaro as the pack I bought was too sweet. You may have a try since every diff people might have diff favorite. :)

The time I went to shopping, I saw there were a lot of new imported fruits. I bought some of them. I bought one pack of Korea Strawberry RM8++ and a big pack of Paradise Pears from Australia RM13++ - The smallest Pears I ever seen. It is as small as a strawberry and... hehehe.... nice la... go try it out... :)

Momotaro - Japanese Pink Flesh Tomato

Last 2 weeks... I was thinking to take a try on this... and now... I'm crazy with it...

I did not remember which pack I bought and when I went there again... I saw there were Tomato with M and XL size, M size have 6 and XL size have 4 tomatos in a pack. Both are cost around RM3.50++. Don't know why, I just did not see Momotaro and I got one pack of M size tomato... hm... If you are person who like tomato and prefer sour taste... I will suggest you to go for M/XL size tomato.

But... For me... I still prefer the sweet one. So... I went back there for another try and finally... I got it: Momotaro - Japanese Pink Flesh Tomato. The color is softer, the taste is sweet and more juicy... I don't know how to descibe the feeling when having this... Such a beautiful day... :)

Momotaro - Japanese Pink Flesh Tomato, 4 in a box cost RM4.50 and please remember to choose a bigger size one as it is 400+- with same price.

When I told my friends who know Japanese... They response with question... "桃太郎？？？". because momo in Japanese = 桃 (Peach). hahaha... such a good learning...

Remember... Try for those packed by "Genting Garden"... Yup... It is from Genting Highlands, Pahang.

My Broken Watch - Anne Klein

Same as the title, is all about my watch today...
I'm not really sure what I want to express now, but just feel that I want to say something to my poor pity watch. I bought this Anne Klein watch during my business trip to Austin. It was an offer stock for old design which cost me only RM90. It has been with me around 2 years + 3 months...

It was broken but does not stop for all the function. But... later after some movement... It was stucked with the broken pieces. I start wearing another watch but don't know why I still don't feel want to throw it into dustbin. How? Keep it? What for?

Ok.. Just ignore me... Is so complicated for my feeling now. :)

Kek Lok Si at Penang 2009

I heard a lot of people told me Kek Lok Si night view during CNY is good. I also saw the poster, postcard and also those pictures taken by others... They all good. So... I decided I must go and feel it this year.

I invited Khai Ming to go there yesterday night. Yes, that is Lunar Calendar 15th Jan 2009 (Gregorian Calendar 9th Feb 2009)... Which is Chinese Valentine Day. Yup, I did not go to esplanade for the happening events... :p

I does not have a good skill to take pictures during night time but still want to take the chance to learn it. Picked up Khai Ming at 7pm and hope to get some pictures before sunset. This also a good chance to avoid "traffic jam" at Kek Lok Si (Make sure we can get car park at 1st level as I'm not dare to drive that high). The photo session start from Top to Bottom level and end at 10:30pm. :)

Thaipusam at Penang 2009

Woke up at 8.30am and get ready for photo shooting during this Hindu Festival at Penang. Tjun Aun advised that not to drive the car thru the street where the festival held. We parked the car very far away but... Luckily we did so... At that time, walking is faster than driving.

There are some interesting part during this festival. We missed out the " Throwing Coconut" part but we still manage to capture another tradition part - Kavadi. It was too crouded and damn tired for 2 hours photo shooting. After this photo session, I think I will not go for 2nd time. :p

Lye Huat Garden at Jitra, Kedah

My teammate planned a visit to my hometown (Kedah) during Chinese New Year. An Ang Pao trip & travel around Alor Setar. After Ang Pao trip to Kang, Alex, Cin Lin and my house... The target is to Lye Huat Garden.

Why this garden named as Lye Huat Garden (来发公园)? That was because of the owner - Lim Lye Huat (林来发). :)

The Location is at Jitra, Kedah. There are few stuff you can see in Lye Huat Garden. Eg. Man Made Lake, Mini Zoo & Garden Yet Foon and the Tickets for an adult is RM10. You can see the Map for Lye Huat Garden at their official website. A good place to visit with only RM10 but you can see different type of stuff. Eg. Terra Cotta, Koi Carp Fish, Culture Treasure, Mini Bird Park, Mini Zoo, Painting Gallery, Suiseiki Gallery, Crocodile Pond, Bonsai Garden, Aquarium & etc.

Walking on The Street at Penang Beach Street

Another early morning...
Myself and Khai Ming waiting our model and partners at opposite Penang Clock Tower. They all are still waiting for Ferry while we already arrived...

After few minutes of waiting... Our sweet model told us she could not see anyone of us... Ah ha... She actually went to the wrong place... We started the photo shooting session at in front of the Fort Cornwallis Gate while waiting for another 2 photographers - Carol & Pang. After some warm up... Finally another 2 partners are here... and we captured pictures with those special building across beach street...

I took a lot of pictures but... hm... most of them can't be use as one of the photographer - Pang was "so excited" and keep chit chatting with our model. This caused most of the pictures have the motion of "talking". Anyway, luckily I still manage to get few nice shoot...

I only manage to get a tester size at that moment... It cost me RM35. This time... I have a medium size one... This cost me RM166 for 45ml/1.5 US FL.OZ.

Woke up at early morning because I have a date with my lovely daughter - Cheryl. Yaya... I know what you means... Hahahaha... She is just 1 year younger than me....
We should meet at Island Plaze at 8am... However, the model was late... Wakakakaka... Anyway... It is worth for us to wait for this sweet princess... She is so cute and so nature for every single pose... We was so excited even the Hot Sun was kissing our skin...

Another outing with my colleague on 12th Jan 2009. We had decided to do photo shoot for Temple this time. We met at 9am and start with our Journey in Sleeping Buddha / Reclining (Wat Chayamangkalaram) : Located at Lorong Burma in Penang, Malaysia.

We also take the chance to visit the temple at right in front of Sleeping Buddha... Which is Dhammikarama Burmese Temple.

You will notice that positions of a Buddha statue in temple varies , and they are not just so because of the way the sculptor wants to potray it but each has a different meaning , and each reflect a different moment in Buddha's life and a particular pose can be associated with different Buddhas .

Meaning of the reclining pose
He is shown with his head lying in the palm of his right hand, with his head to the north. This posture symbolizes the Mahaparinirvana ( Enlighthenment or achieving Nirwana ) of the Buddha which took place at Kushinagara (Uttar Pradesh).

Is it the 3rd longest Reclining Buddha ?
As a matter of fact , many travellers or VTs qouted this statue as the 3rd or 4th Longest Reclining Buddha in the world but a little curiosty of mine has revealed something totally different . Here's the record:-

Photography Reflector & Light Tank

I saw some of the folks captured nice product pictures. I wonder why some of them can get a very "white" background. After some research, now I realized it was using "Tank".
Not sure why but most of the shop does not have any stock for Light Tank a.k.a Fordable Tank when I search around Penang Komtar area. Some of them even told me they don't sell this cheaper product but they only sell a complete set of Tank (with light) and it cost around RM1000++. Oh my god... How can I afford this.

Komtar area shops that I visited + did sell this product are Click n Snap (Komtar/Opposite Chinese Temple), Mega Star and also Hike Enterprise (These 2 shops at opposite of Komtar/Beside Chinese Temple). Click n Snap told me to come back after a week and the price they told me was RM120. I walked around that area then went to Mega Star. The price that given was RM105 but it is only available after 2-3 weeks. What a bad luck... When I went to Hike Enterprice, the last unit was just sold out and will not have this product in a short while.

Too bad that I could not get what I want. I went back to Click n Snap and decided to get a reflector - It cost me RM120. You might get cheaper price at somewhere else but I just lazy to search around again as this will waste my time and petrol. The online price I saw for this rectangle Reflector was RM170, so I don't mind to pay for RM120 here. Note: There are different size and design of reflector. Some of them are smaller, some of them are triangle shape and some of them only with single color.

I tried to visit the same shop after a week... Finally... I got my Light Tank this time. :)
The one at top with "DIGI COLOR" is Reflector and the bottom one is Light Tank. Let's see how it looks like.

The top in the picture is Light Tank with 4 colors of background and the bottom one is the Reflector.

When I open it up, this is the look for the Light Tank at top. I place a chair beside it and you may imagine the size easier. For the reflector, the silver one is actually looks like a cloth for the reflector. If you want to get the sun reflect like a white spot light, then you have to put the reflector inside this cloth. The reflector I bought contained 2 colors - Silver and Gold. If you want to change the color, just open the zip and fold to another side. :)

St. George's Church at Penang

I was planned to take an evening & night shoot at another attractive place at Penang. So I get ready and heading out to that place before sunset at 7pm. However... My mistake that did not check with it and only realize that place is Closed at 5pm. Blah Blah Blah...

I don't want to waste the time and go back with nothing. Therefore I drive slowly and see what other else I can work with... lalalalalala... And just... I saw St. George's Church.

St. George's Church is the oldest Anglican church in Southeast Asia and is located in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. It was completed in 1818 on the initiative of the Penang Colonial Chaplain, Rev. Robert Sparke Hutchings (who also went on to found the Penang Free School) and consecrated on 11 May 1819 by the Bishop of Calcutta, Thomas Fanshawe Middleton.

On 6 July 2007, the church was declared one the 50 National Treasures of Malaysia by the Malaysian government.

Dell Latitude E6400

After a long "complaining" period for my laptop with missing "K" in keyboard, always went blue screen, RAVPN broken, Symantec Anti Virus destroyed and the hard disk always come out with a "great sound"...

Finally, I got my new laptop - Dell Latitude E6400.

I like this model since it was launch and hope to get one if any chance. Some of them only like the front design but I like all of them. :)
The reason why my friend don't like the design is because they felt this seems like just a stylish "IBM" look. How do you think? Let see...

I'm so excited while I working to transfer all the necessary data from my old laptop to this new one. Since I'm IT and will not use the laptop as "normal human" and therefore I start working to disable some "Special Features" in VISTA.

Dell Latitude Family always do a great job. Imagine, a laptop D610 which I used it for my daily routine. I on this laptop more than 10 hours per day and it is still working after 3 years (Without doing any formatting during these period). But of course, it does have slow performance since we are so "expert" and would store a lot of application, documents, try on many new software & etc.
It might able to resolve by re-format but... Since it has been EOL and changing things might wasting the time and money. So... Get a new one... kekekeke... :)

Since Dell Latitude did a great job and therefore... I bought Latitude D420 for my personal usage. I like this 12 inches small laptop... Professional and good for traveler. :)

Now... Come to Latitude E6400. I love the LED light which is not only help us to see the keyboard in the dark but it is also looks cool. I love the keyboard and because it does a comfortable and lite touch keyboard. I will continue using it, please do not disappointed me ya... :)

Ingredients: Alcohol, Parfum (Fragrance), Aqua (Water), Geranicol, Hydroxycitronellal, Citronellol, Linalool, Limonene, Alpha-Isomethyl, Butyphenyl, Methlpropional, Farnesol, Isoeugenol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Citral, Benzyl Salicylate, Methyl 2-Octynoate & Eugenol.

No spelling mistake at above. These are those ingredients written on the box. :)

I want to buy this since it launch but this has been on hold since I have not enough budget while still studying at college. After graduate from Degree and got a chance for my lovely perfume... I did not get KENZO FLOWER but I got L'EAU PAR KENZO. Erm... Just because the sales girl told me this is a new product and I made the decision without think of it carefully. I keep thinking of KENZO FLOWER over the past few years and I told myself I must get it.

Finally... I got it. Love You - My KENZO FLOWER. :)

Esplanade at Penang - A Lonely Night

I invited my friend to go for a night shooting yesterday... heh... I know what you are thinking. Yes, I'm on Medical Leave yesterday. I went to clinic then get the MC from Doctor as I'm already certified with "Food Poisoning". Anyway, since the clinic so close with office, therefore I went to office to meet with my colleague and we went out for lunch at Queensbay Mall. Hohoo... Just getting 2 extra Polo T for my "Office Wear".

Not sure why the feeling walking at Queensbay suddenly become so lonely... And the same feeling stuck with me until the night. I met my friend at around 6pm. We went around Komtar area to search for close up filter (+4). Finally... I got my 58mm Close Up Filter, but my friend have to wait for his 52mm since they need to re-order. After dinner at Home Recipes in Perangin Mall, we heading to Penang Esplanade for Night Shooting.

I took some pictures with Penang Town Hall, Penang High Courts & Statues... However, I don't feel all those pictures are special to share. So... I just pick few of them to upload. The right hand side pictures are statue in front of the High Court and they represent WISDOM, JUSTICE, FORTITUDE & TEMPERANCE.

Some information about Penang Town Hall:
Like most important buildings of the British administration, the Penang Town Hall takes pride of place in front of an open field, in this case the Esplanade Padang in George Town.
The foundation stone of the Town Hall was laid in 1879 and the main building completed in 1883. It consisted of an assembly hall, a grand ballroom, and a library. You may be keen to note that the Penang Library was born here, after the Prince of Wales Library was moved here and renamed. An annex was added in 1890 while the porch and top floor added in 1903. The left wing - when cement plaster was introduced - as added in 1930. Those extensions and renovations together constitute the Town Hall.

Some information about Penang High Court:
Alighting from the Penang Ferry, the high court sits in its original corner of two busy roads of Light Street and Farquhar Street. Passing it almost daily for the locals, they see the transformation of once neglected heritage to a glorious building with handsome white architecture. Straits colonial engineers of the Public Works Department did such a great job in 1905 as the building stood the test of time with two World Wars behind it.
The Penang Court was constructed in 1905 at a cost of 206.678 Straits Dollars. Its design is based on British Palladian architecture with elements of impressive Greek Doric and Ionic columns. On 21st June 2001, it was gazette as a historical monument.

I'm not alone at that moment but I feel lonely at this night. I felt all my pictures have lonely feel and therefore I give them a theme as "A Lonely Night @ Penang Esplanade".

My First Male Portrait at Kedah- 我。

Yooohooo... Another portrait session on last Sunday. This time, we have the session at my hometown - Alor Setar and I invited Kang as my portrait shooting model.

Current "market"... most of the photographer are guy and therefore, the model usually are girls because as what Khai Ming said : "It is more motivated if the model is a girl". However, I'm a girl and therefore I'm looking for some different... . Muahahaha... :D:D:D

Kang like to take pictures, but he also a bit pai se... kekekekeke... I purposely go and fetch him and we went to the garden in front of Wisma Negeri, Historical Mosque, Balai Seni, Museum and "Famous Fountain".

If is a girl, we can think and try a lot of diff pose. But since is male portrait, we have to limit the pose. I tried to search on web to see if I can get some idea from others. Unfortunely, it does not have much example. Haha...

My First Portrait Shooting at Penang - 真。

At last... I did my 1st portrait shooting on last Saturday...
Khai Ming, Yew Ling and myself meet at Employee Entrance E at 9AM and depart to Teluk Bayu 尾湖 (Beside Teluk Kumbar). Since I invited they both, therefore I have to take care of them (including the car). That's why I have them park their car at company and we went by my Green Old Proton... wakakakak... The reason is... the way to the lake is damn bad... the road is not well in condition...

When we reach there... eheheheh... strong wind... bright sun... all seems to be new... new place, new model, new photographer... and we all not sure how to start... cause I dunno what pose is suitable for model and model dunno what should she do as well... wakakakakkaka...

As I got my Sifu Emil Harsa advice... We need to talk to model, make them feel comfortable and do not tell them No or Not & etc... I keep telling her good, nice, great even 1st few pictures are damn bad. That was because of the camera setting problem... wakakakakaka... Plus, I know how to comment pictures, but when I'm the one who stand there to take pictures... wakakakaka... all gone. I think that is same as when you see those Chef and Judgment. hehehehehe...

Luckly Yew Ling was very patient with both of us, and we really enjoyed with that... Especially the part when Khai Ming show Yew Ling how to pose... And he also suddenly be a part time super model...

After we satisfy with the "amount" of shooting, I treat our lovely model to Dragon-Y at Suntech to have our lunch... Kekekekekekeke...

gAMS XMas & New Year Celebration

gAMCS Fun Committee prepared a XMas and New Year Celebration on 18th Dec 2008 11:30AM at APCC1 Pantry. We all are invited to join this and bring a present for potluck which required around RM10.

I brought my camera and want to capture some pictures with my teammate, but... Cheryl request my help as the photographer this time... I'm not quite confidence to get good shoot... Poor me... really did a bad job during that day... Without waiting, I quickly run around and asked for help to understand the camera setting I should applied.

After the event... when I uploaded my pictures to the laptop, I felt disappointed with what I got... Is bad for me to get all out of focus pictures... I'm trying hide the poor quality of my pictures... therefore I tried to reduce the Saturation and the Cyan Color for most of the pictures as those pictures went bad after the Smart Sharpen I did...

Some of them are too bright and nothing much I can do... therefore the picture went to Black & White... wakakakaka... you can see this picture at right beside... "Sifu Derick".

Handmade Photo Album - A Christmas Gift for Mindy

When every time I shop for material, I always get too much stuff which I might not need for that assignment. I checked the stock and found that is actually left a lot of stuff... eg. set of card board, flowers & etc for photo album & wedding guest book. I don't like to leave those stuff with dust and I wonder how can I utilize this...

When I tried to re-arrange my hard disk stuff... I realized that I took a lot of pictures with Mindy, Tjun Aun & Naomi. Hm... Christmas is coming soon... hehehe... OK la... Let's made a photo album for them... :)
