Meaning of the reclining pose
He is shown with his head lying in the palm of his right hand, with his head to the north. This posture symbolizes the Mahaparinirvana ( Enlighthenment or achieving Nirwana ) of the Buddha which took place at Kushinagara (Uttar Pradesh).
Is it the 3rd longest Reclining Buddha ?
